Anecdotally from my middle class "suburbs but still technically city of Columbus" voting precinct on the edge of the really ritzy area where CEOs and Blue Jackets players live - Line to check in was about 15 people deep and 25 voting stations inside all full. One old dude with a Blue Lives matter hat and another old white guy holding the "Vote this way" republican mailer in his hand. Maybe 5 middle age white guys like me. 2 young white guys, one of which was voting for the first time - he told the poll worker he just turned 18. Everyone else was a woman or person of color.

While that was the busiest it had ever been since I have lived here the poll worker lady said she was glad for the break. Apparently lines were out of the building and a 100 or so yards down the sidewalk earlier.

Early vote lines over the weekend were over 2 hours long.

Turnout looks strong here. And I hope every single one has told JD Vance to fuck off.

We had roughly 2 weeks of early voting so no lines ever got long and no way to really gauge voter turnout. Wife voted 2 weeks ago and I voted last week, while my kid voted today. Easy in and out all 3 times.

My anecdotal election observation: where I vacationed a couple weeks ago there is a thin line between mountain vacation town and Appalachia. This year I saw far less republican yard signs than I did last time I was there 4 years ago.

Mrs 43 just got home. Took her 45 minutes in line just to get into the polling place. And apparently the poll workers were announcing and clapping for first time voters. She counted five while she was in the building. She says the demographics were very similar to my experience earlier.

Turnout is good.
