I don't know if dumb is the right word Matty, it's more along the lines of lack of critical thinking skills in my opinion. There is a large number of people that just look for the candidate with the (R) beside their name. Hopefully, Warnock can prevail in the Georgia senate run-off.

Unfortunately in MTG's case no redistricting could turn it blue. That is an area you want to avoid by all means, sadly though there are some beautiful natural areas around there like Cloudland state park.

On the other hand this is GA for you. Gwinnett county has the second largest population behind Fulton and the second most democrats behind Fulton. But the county is split into three congressional districts with only ONE being held by a democrat in Lucy McBath. They pulled democratic votes out of that county to make it even harder for her to win her seat. During that gerrymandering they eliminated Carolyn Bordeaux's seat and essentially made it deep red so Rich McCormick could win it.

As @sabresfaninthesouth mentioned previously, Cruz is no dummy. He's playing the long con and doing what's necessary to stay relevant while continuing to fool a lot of people.

I wonder how many people there know he is a Canadian born child of Cuban immigrants? That state elected a governor who was "one of their own" that was born in Connecticut, educated in New England prep schools and went to Yale.

It's almost like they are easy to fool down there.
