It's different because one is in a dense city and the other's a regional connector route but the estimated cost to change the name of Dundas St. in Toronto was $6 mil to the city (and was probably on the low end given how shitty CoT are at estimating costs). The cost to the provincial government and businesses etc. is additional.

But, of course, there's a difference between a bullshit uproar to change a street named for a guy nobody had ever heard of until some egghead looked it up and found some very, very loose thread to pull at regarding slavery and the dude that led the Confederate Army sworn to protect the institution.
Sorry, I was just goofing around - I did not expect a serious response. I know there is far more to it than just changing the sign. I was just chuckling about throwing up a sign and not doing anything else.

When I was working in Atlanta, I bought a Ford Explorer at Stone Mountain Ford with the intention of driving it back to Calgary. Since I was driving it back in January, I asked them if I could have a block heater installed. The guy just looked at me and said, "What's a block heater?"

I replied, "Never mind" :D
Surprised they had a 4wd/AWD model on the lot.

Actually, it was the XLT model and it was rear wheel drive. Nicely loaded with leather though :thumb:I

RWD returning to Calgary in January must have been fun. :D

That's some wishful thinking -

Just over a week after his reelection in the 2022 midterms, new filings show Iowa Senator Chuck Grassley is planning another run for Senate.

He submitted paperwork Wednesday to run for a 9th term in 2028.

Grassley will be 95 years old.

Just my :2cents: , but AWD/4WD gives people this false sense of security on icy/snowy roads. Driving in accordance to road conditions and avoiding sudden stops/acceleration are the keys to avoid sliding into trouble.

Oh I know. :suds:

I just laugh every time I see someone in their AWD vehicle flying down the road and hit an ice patch.

The only time I ever put my old Jeep or Toyota pickup (with the locking hubs) in 4WD was offroading. Never once did I need it on the roads.

NOTE: Every time I talk about cars I realize more and more how many I used to own and how many of them were either junk or rotted away due to Pittsburgh weather. :L

Driving karma videos are fun, but the best is watching vehicles in snow/ice, because the karma is always ready to assert itself.

There’s a really bad racist joke what Pontiac stands for that made the rounds when I was a kid.

/google taught me that Jesse Jackson’s secret service nickname was Pontiac. JFC

My dad drove us in a Bonneville when we moved to Toronto from Halifax in January 1990. Definitely didn't have AWD on that thing lol

Did you slide the whole way? Lol

Back in the early 90’s I had a Parisienne. That thing needed it’s own zip code. Nice car but it was monstrous
