He's done this about 100 times during his press conferences -

"I've been driving around and seeing people doing X"

"I've been talking to friends of mine and they're saying X"

"I've been having seances with Nancy Reagan and she's saying X"

"I've been in my mom's basement with my cabinet ministers and they told me X"

"I was at my cottage that weekend I told everyone not to go to the cottage and I saw X"

All that said, I do find it funny how the golf people are in a rage about their courses being closed. Tiniest violin for that one lol

i can see their point.

and pretty ridiculous that a "walking outdoor" sport was shut down.
it took about a week for someone to come up with ways to avoid the contact points.
close the clubhouse, don't touch the pin, one cart per person if needed, no milling about. boom, done.

last stat i read was less than 10% of transmissions were outdoors.
and that was largely from close talkers or hillbilly events where you jam 1,000 people into an outdoor space.
