I don't want to listen to Home Depot's #1 shopper's voice but during lynching's heyday a good number of white people were indeed lynched for reasons not relating to racism (ie: as punishment for crimes) but they were still outnumbered by racial lynchings by like 3-1.

I'd say blame this on racism, or the publicity of racist incidents and viewpoints amongst the public, but Japan is climbing up the boards and Australia is in third and Singapore is on that list and I dunno I feel like maybe these people should do some googling.

A big part of it is that the US has archaic attitudes towards time off and work/life balance. It was possible to make enough money to deal with it for a time and then go back home, but as other places are improving the US is sliding.

I've had some conversations with companies recently that are HQ'ed overseas and am being told a lot of US based workers are looking out. As am I. A place in Copenhagen offers as a base 45 days paid time off per year. And no limits on when you can take it. All at once if you want. The place I work now would shit an eggroll if I tried to take 2 weeks at once.

Canada’s first on that list and we really aren’t much better, especially when it comes to vacation.

My understanding is our in-demand industries (ie: tech) also pay shit compared to American companies and many of those jobs are in low-COL metros nowadays whereas most of Canada’s are in Toronto and Vancouver where single family homes go for upward of $2 mil CDN (of course a lot of major cities in countries on that list are similar cost-wise).
