Not sure. Ohio Republicans are, for the most part, a different breed. The Kasich/DeWine moderate. More interested in "Just let me live my life" than "LULZ, Own the LIBZ". Sure we have our share of those, but the farmland folks are very self reliant and want people to just leave them alone.

JD Vance won the senate race because he convinced enough people that he was going to stand up to the Party and Trump, and then of course caved and it really soured a lot of people on him. And in turn, soured them on the Trump ticket.

I can't imagine how, but maybe something in their internal polling showed she was pulling support from Trump.

Of course the sign on the right is Republican, trying to trick people into leaving them with the power to gerrymander at will. They know it's unpopular and they can't defend their stance it, so they resort to trickery.

Michigan GOP tried the same thing and failed in 2018 and have pretty well fixed their state.
