I expect to be in line to vote for a while. I have two first time voters going with me too. Son voted in last one but absentee from college. Never been in person.

Someone I know works at a major area medical system and one of the hospitals close to DC has had their ER/shock trauma units toured by both the secret service and DC police the last week. They were told to get more portable carts and to have every available area ready on short notice.
Hopefully just being cautious

I saw that there are barricades and other protections going up around some places in DC. Extra security installed around DC ahead of Election Day - WTOP News

I guess that's all an indication of how the Dept of Homeland Security is expecting this to go.
