Breakfast has always been my favorite meal of the day.

I was slingin' hash at Village Inn from 15-18 y/o, so one would think I'd hate anything to do with breakfast. Nope.

That is funny. I was a bus boy, dish washer and then a cook at the Village Inn on Dodge from 15-17 years old.

Breakfast was a big downfall for me. Can't do it no more but Saturdays were 3 eggs over easy, shredded hash browns like you get at Denny's and sausage or bacon, sometimes some grits and usually pancakes or sausage gravy and biscuits.
No better way to start your day then with your 3 main food groups, carbohydrates, cholesterol and fat.

Busboy, dishwasher, batterboy, pancake cook, then egg cook. In that order.

I climbed the Village Inn career ladder. LOL.

An egg skillet of some fashion with some potatoes and cheese. And if it is a football Saturday, an Old Milwaukee Lite to get things started right. If it is an NFL Sunday then substitute the Old Milwaukee Lite for a Bloody Mary to correct the damage from the Old Milwaukee Lite. :arg:

Last Saturday I got up put some bacon on, pressed a fresh pot of coffee, got bacon cooked and reserved some of the grease for the eggs, got toaster out, got the full 18 pack of eggs out, cracked egg on side of pan, must be a thick shell so I cracked it a few more times, come to find that the wife went ahead and hard boiled every single one of them. I sat down and ate my bacon with some coffee

Basically same thing here. 75 - 78. Turned 17 though and was having too much fun to make it to work half the time. Lost that job and began my spiral to eventual army recruitment a year later.

Remember making gravy for the sausage and gravy once, dumped about a half a bag of salt in on accident, scooped out what I could and finished it off. It was used all morning and no one said a word. And it was some salty shit!!

I can make some eggs to this day. Very seldom break a yolk. Get the whites white and yolks running. Perfect over medium.

Don't know which sounds worse in the morning, pickle juice or fish.

But you combine them to guarantee the worst possible breakfast imaginable.

love chicken fried steak for breakfast. love biscuits and gravy too. love pancakes too. man breakfast is so good, i wish i had time to eat it every morning.

the best would probably be the chicken fried steak with extra crispy hashbrowns. eggs over easy. a good buttermilk pancake stack on the side. with real maple syrup.

I'm not a coffee drinker so you can keep that.
