Do you believe the coaching will be better, worse, or about the same as the previous staff?

Same or worse.
Mayhew has been in charge of the Lions in one way or another for almost 14 years (since 2001) and the team has only finished second in the division 1 time (of course, never winning it). They also only have 1 winning season. That was 3 years ago. Why would they all of a sudden get better?
What positions does Mayhew coach again?
So to sum it up, Mayhew doesn't coach any actual positions, and therefore isn't germane to the thread topic. If we could please keep things on track that'd be great, thanks.

I had to vote better simply for the fact that Linehan is gone. Add to that, the Lions won't have a lazy, arrogant, immature head coach that you don't want your players emulating. I'm not exactly sure what Austin will bring, but it has to be better than the wide-9. Doesn't it?
I voted same simply because they havn't coached one single game for the Detoit Lions.....If they win, they get better, if they lose they get worse.....If they finish 5-9 to 10-6 same.....I'm pretty sure that's where we will end up.....right there somewhere between 5-9 and 10-6.
btw anyone catch the Giants vs. Bills game last night? I know it's just ps but the Bills 1st team run D led by Schwartz didn't look too good out there without Suh and Fairley.
Gouged in the run game. Looked familiar. Schwartz was a good DC and I'd imagine he'll get them playing well.
