Still remember JGs first presser as interim head coach. We had just gotten destroyed by the Packers. Romo was hurt. We were horrible. Coach Wade use to sit down and do his press conferences. JG took the podium with his ball cap on, standing tall. He kept mentioning the next game - Sunday 3:15 at the Giants. I remember thinking, this guy thinks we are going to beat the Giants in New York. What the fuck has he been watching. We went into New York and kicked their ass. I couldn’t believe it. He made it 10 years. Not bad.

Sturm did a report, supplied by a twitter user, about how long it usually takes Jerry to fire a coach. From what I could recall, Switzer was fired after like 20 days into the season and there was another...campo maybe...that took a couple of weeks too. So this is par for the course for Jerry. And with the contract running out soon, I could see it just being a "we didn't resign him".

Zimmer has a talented team now but couldn't win the NFC North. He has been good but not great in Minnesota.

Mike McCarthy is a sound offensive minded coach but we still would need a strong DC.
