Seems like with all these vacancies everyone is suggesting coaches from the same conference.

This seems abnormal to me.

I know Nutt went from Arkansas to Ol Miss but he was fired from Arkansas i think so not really the same thing.

Both of those schools are unusual situations. Not many other schools command the prestige and respect for their HC than both of those. We aren't talking about going to second tier team in the same conference. We are talking about two of the most visible programs with some of the nations best recruiting grounds right around them. There are few HC's with any type of ego that wouldn't break away for a chance to headline either one of them IMO.

Texas did hire McWilliams from Texas Tech, but he had already been an asst. coach at Texas.
The only coach from the Big 12 that Texas might hire is TCU's Patterson. I'm really surprised no poster(that I knows of) has suggested him. Stoops will not leave OU.
