Man, what has happened to this dude?

He seemed like he was going to be a break out superstar in 2020 and now he is scratched and has become a bust..

What gives?

He was never that good. They made a luxury pick, and a bad one at that. Good college player on a great team.

He did very well in 2020 and won many people leagues for sure... Very sad about his PTSD though! I hope he is getting the help he needs!

I would say he was decent in 2020. 803 yards rushing with 4 TD's and 297 yards receiving with 1 TD isn't a great season by any means. Throw in he had Prime Kelce and prime Hill taking pressure off of him and giving him advantageous boxes to run in.

He I think ran into a similar situation with his time at LSU being surrounded by 1st round talent making life much easier for him.

A big part of his game in college was making people miss. People dont miss in the NFL. I made that comparison to Kadarius Toney and once you remove the ability to make people miss CEH is just kinda average at everything. He is also undersized so he tends to get hurt.

The big miss on his evaluation is this idea that he was good receiver. Never saw it on his college tape unfortunately.

As a Chiefs fan, I'm much more worried about their 2 1st round picks on pass rushers not really adding much to the equation.

He did ok. He should of with that team. BUT largely JAG. Strictly my opinion of course. Was not aware of the PTSD. Never wish health issues on anyone. Hope he finds peace.

For those who haven't read the article (I suspect most), he reportedly had PTSD after shooting someone to death in what police ruled was self defense. He accompanied his friend, a teammate who was trying to sell a Playstation, and when a dude put a gun to his friend's head, he shot the guy dead.

Cops said it was justified, but understandably, it sounds like it shook him up to kill someone. This happened before the draft and the Chiefs knew, but perhaps they didn't realize how it was affecting him because it sounds like he didn't really speak on it until recently.

He's basically a bust at the NFL level. I think Andy Reid thought he could be the next Brian Westbrook in that scheme, a shifty back who could make people miss and catch a lot of balls out of the backfield, but he was basically not that talented.

I guess everyone is different. It didn’t affect me. One less Eagles fan was a good thing

I'm interested to see how the Chiefs handle the next couple of years. Kelce starting to slow down and that defense is about to get very expensive. McDuffie up for a contract soon. Karloftis in the next couple of years. Nnadi FA coming up. Leo Chanel in the next 2 seasons. Reid FA after this season. Chris Jones while still playing elite football you do have to wonder how many more years he has left at this level?

Im not too worried about the defense just based on how i think things might shake out. I think the oline is the issue long term.

That said, the bigger issue is just that Denver and the Chargers actually have good coaching.

Wouldn’t surprise me if soon the AFC West has the best coaching division in the NFL. AFC North I think has that title right now but with Bengals struggling and Browns probably firing their coach soon I think we could see this battle for years to come in the AFC West be fun to watch.

Definitely not the huge coaching gap that was previously in the division. I'm not a big fan of Payton but he will get the best out of whatever Bo Nix can be and he does know how to assemble a solid staff. Harbaugh just knows how to win and is building that team the right way and having Herbert in place means one important step already taken care of. On the bright side, you still have Marc Davis and the Raiders who seemingly can't get it right.

A playstation deal gone bad?

The propensity of NFL prospects and players to get themselves into sketchy situations never ceases to amaze me.

Huh? (In regards to your Playstation comment)
