Not a bad year at Indy for him. Hopefully he can give us some power off the bench, as well as being the only left-handed pinch hitting option when we're facing a right-handed starter.

Strange timing. Bringing up Clement when he was hitting would have made a lot more sense. He's not having a bad year..... but has been pretty bad in August, hitting only .169 (and .154 in his last 10 games).

I also don't understand bringing in a lefty relief pitcher (Takahashi) who has an ERA of 4.93 and pitches better against right-handed hitters than lefties. Wonder who they'll dump from the 25-man roster to make room for Takahashi. IMO, it SHOULD BE Qualls..... which would mean that NH gave away McGehee for nothing. Or maybe they'll option Hughes or Watson. Either way, it will be an inexplicable downgrade of the bullpen.

I gotta wonder what the front office is thinking.

Mags, at this point I would guess they are thinking about the mandatory fun day following the SD series that ended a 20 in 20 stretch. Good thing they raised so much money for their charities.

I am starting to think McGehee was a thank you gift for AJ Burnett?

Clement deserved the call up but I don't expect a thing out of him.
Then claiming Takahashi is odd he is nothing more than a left handed Chad Qualls.
