At least they aren't waiting that long to get someone in. Need to protect what's left of the class and have time to fill the rest of it.

The more I read about Taggart the more I like him - would be great to get a proven P5 coach, but why not take a page out of the UW book and grab an up and comer from a lower tier and let him apply his winning ways with better athletes. Sure wish Phil would have thrown the bank at Peterson back when there was a window.

There's no way to know who's going to be a hit and who's going to miss it seems in these things. We have all seen guys we thought were a sure fire hit that missed, and those hidden gems that no one quite thinks will translate up that hit home runs.

I can't say I've looked enough at any of the names they have interviewed, but I'll be sure to after they name their new guy. Hope it's someone with either some background with defense, or has a good guy to bring in. You don't need much help with the offense with the talent you now have. Just get something done on D.
