Safe to say this is Alex Smith's last year and the Chiefs are going to be forced to go with a rookie (or Vince Young lol), considering they are not that healthy on cap already... and they just shelled out a ton of cash. Berry is fine but Laurent was overpaid.
Berry is arguably the best safety in the league, but $40M guaranteed and 6 years (meaning he'll be 34 by the time his contract is up)? Gotta give that a B grade at best.
And now rapsheet says there is no expected FT for Poe.
Well someone needs to be the sucker that pays for what he did in 13/14.there's a black and gold jersey waiting for you here in Pittsburgh, Poe, come on over!

Sure seems that way with Alex. Lot of cap incentives to draft a replacement in this draft if the opportunity presents itself.Safe to say this is Alex Smith's last year and the Chiefs are going to be forced to go with a rookie (or Vince Young lol), considering they are not that healthy on cap already... and they just shelled out a ton of cash. This is what I was thinking. He is not the same player of a few years ago where he really was a top-3 NT in the NFL. His back injury has really taken a lot out of him. So please Pittsburgh go ahead and overpay for this kid!
er, um...back injury, you say?
*rescinds invitation*
Went from arguably the most unique player defensively in the NFL to a sad husk of it- though still useful at the right pricetag.Yeah he had surgery back in 2015 to repair a herniated disk in his back. Never been the same player since.
