Chicagoland Speedway... The Chase Begins

Chicagoland is not that great of a track. When NASCAR went into it's last phase of building tracks, it got tunnel vision. Cookie Cutter tracks, with very little differences. I would have built a mix of 1/2 mile flat and high bank, 3/4 high bank, and I would love to add another road track or two.

Congrats to Brad K for clinching a spot into the next round of the playoffs.

Same old story for Harvick this season. Dominate the race only to lose it late. I must say, I liked him better as the closer. Could be worse though. 5th place isn't disastrous.

Almirola, Edwards, Allmendinger and Biffle have their work cut out for them.

Shame Almirola blew up. Was running strong and well on his way to a top 10.

Nice bounce backs for Kurt Busch and Ryan Newman. While 8th and 15th aren't great, they salvaged a manageable finish on what could have been disastrous races. Both being multiple laps down early in the race.

If the first round ended today, Ryan Newman, AJ Allmendinger, Greg Biffle and Aric Almirola would be the 4 not advancing to the second round.

Dinger, Biffle and Almirola were 3 of the 4 I picked to not advance past round 1. Denny Hamlin was my other pick.
