Think you have the outliers backwards

Griffey and Trout types are the exception

Jim Thome hit 612 HR's and didnt have his first big HR season until he was 25

Thats just the first guy i looked at, but I think there are less guys hitting like stars at 19 than at 24 or 25

The Mets had some "kid" pinch hitting last night, Kascmarsik, or some shit, they said he was 26. He attempted to steal second, got thrown out, and his helmet came off in the process - bald like a monk.

Chad Curtis was notorious for butting heads with teammates in the locker room for turning off rap and different types of "offensive" music in favor of his Christian music

Talk about being one of the worlds biggest hypocrites
Yeah, at least with Mel it was completely clear from his first day with the Cubs that he was a creep...Curtis wore a disguise of narrow-minded self-righteousness until he left MLB. Gotta give Chad some credit for having major huevos, though, he told the Jewish Greek God Gabe Kapler that he was going to hell for not accepting Jesus and lived to tell the tale.

See . . . you know you're losing the argument when you start making up other's arguments. Classic strawman. I think Ortiz used. Morton may be using. I just think it's a little odd a Yankee fan would be leading this charge.

Yankees batters should just give a knowing wink to the Astros pitchers and call it a day.

I know Im not losing this argument, you are being destroyed with facts and examples all over this place...Im afraid for Stan Marshs' life at this point

And I dont know why youre surprised a Yankee fan would be leading this charge, there are idiots in here that accuse Aaron Judge and Gleyber Torres of being on steroids because its easier than to just accept they are really good at baseball, so Im not allowed to fire back? Who made up those rules

Difference is that Judge went to college for a few years instead of turning pro earlier (Judge was drafted by the A's out of high school but opted for college). He also missed a year of pro-ball with quad injury, so those two combined explain why he came up to the majors later than you'd expect.

What were his homer rates like in college?

Goes from homering once every 21 ABs in 2016 in the majors to once every 10.5 ABs in 2017. . . Ages 24 and 25. Seems like he really figured it out, and basically all during one offseason.

I think the major League to major league comparisons are really apples to apples

Can i get Mookie Betts' homer rates between 2017 and 2018 on the ML level

Hu thanks you in advance

Why is that so shocking? I mean, it's almost exactly identical to what Mark MaGuire--

Oh.

Good, so Mike trout, Ken Griffey and Carlos Correa are/were also on steroids

I guess Im good with that, at least its more consistent than usual

The good news for you is next season when Greg Bird is the Yankee de jour that starts homering once every 11 ABs, you get to say. . . "see I told you guys he was awesome".

All three of those guys broke into the bigs at age 19 or 20. All three of those guys when they started hitting bombs did so at best at around a once every 17 or 18 AB clip (Griffey was once every 27 ABs).

None of them became Babe Ruth in their first full season. Unlike Aaron "once ever 10 ABs" Judge or Gary "once every 10 ABs" Sanchez.

He hit 12 HR in 206 ABs (2nd in conference) and slugged .655 (also 2nd in conference) his last year in college. So he clearly had power, considering there was only one guy in the conference who beat him in both of those categories.

And don't forget the most important part

How many years in a row does it have to happen with different Yankee rookies before you start getting suspicious?

I wish the Sox were doing it. Devers needs more fielding help but his errors would be ignored if he had 18 or 19 homers right now.

I keep telling you

Mookie Betts is doing it, maybe he doesn't like Devers

It wouldn't surprise me. When asked whether he'd consider participating in the home run derby, Mookie basically said no way, I don't even hit homers in batting practice.
