Wow. I might have spoke too soon. The LakerBees or KillerBees, Brooks and Blazemore are really what we needed and thanks to the logo and Mitch. I think Don'tknowi has stumbled on a starting five that may turn out to be pretty good.

That five took over the fourth quarter made some great shots and between Blaze and Brooks they had 27 points and Farmar, Hill, and Kaman also had some good shots. The nice addition was the defense came alive. I'd like to see more of these five guys and I think we now have some real keepers.

Fun game, good win and kudos to D'Antoni for leaving the guys who were responsible for the comeback in for the whole 4th quarter. A lot of coaches would have been tempted to "stick with their rotation".

Nice to see Bazemore show what he can do. I wanted the lakers to pick him up and develop him 2 summer league ago. Lakers always were old and slow, and here's this kid who was excelling in the summer league using his athleticism and high motor with hi-level D, but FO never saw him as a viable NBA player, yet D. Morris got his contract picked up? Baffles my mind.
Also refreshing is Brooks. Didn't think he had any game left. Good for him. But then again there's lots prizes in the dumpster if you have as system for it. D'antoni is perfect for these guys. Bazemore tore up D-league and D'antoni offense/defense is just that a D-league. Note to Mike. Celtics using 6'9, 6'8 power big men. Our power big men 7 ft, 6'11 all had very proficient games. See how that works.
And there's Ryan Kelly on Sullinger/Bass, reminds me of Luke Walton vs Corlis Williamson. Props to Mike for yanking the rook.

Bazemore and Brooks really are a fresh shot of youth, athleticism, and I love their offense and their defense. Yea, Kelly needs to sit for a spell and come in off the bench with say Pau. If this is going to be the starting five, Kelly coming in with Pau and K.Marsh would be a really good second unit. Add Young and Henry to the mix and the Lakers are beginning to look stout at least on paper.

Why wasn't Kaman used more in the start of the season? He's got some great moves and I would have loved for him to come off our bench next year. Unfortunately D'Antoni pissed him off too much by not playing him.

Honestly, I think it was a numbers game more than anything else. Kaman was added almost as an afterthought. Then, when the injuries hit, he was needed, has shown that he has some game left, and like Pau, has figured out a way to be useful in D'Antoni's offense.

D'Antoni was punishing Kaman for a comment he made a long time ago in a post game interview. Kaman said he wasn't a fan of small ball and wanted to pair up more with Gasol. So Kaman was questioning the coach. That Put Kaman in the dog house. Kaman didn't play right after that.

It was nice to see Bazemore and Brooks have nice debuts last night. Seems the Lakers will have some candidates to form a nice bench next season to hopefully go along with a revamped starting corps.
