You have somewhat of a point.

The Celtics are helped in that many of their guards are big/tough enough to defend the wing at least reasonably well. Marcus Smart (of course), but also Brogdon and White. Theoretically, these guys can spell Tatum and Brown for stretches.

Hauser appears to be working his way into a minor rotational role, too... he's a liability on defense, of course, but that shot is sweet.

Smart can guard 3s for sure. He’s proven it.

Haven't had much to because most of it has been said.

I disagree with sitting a player an entire game because he played the night before. If you can't play 80+ every night, then work at Walmart or Wendy's. Every player should be able to play 48 minutes 10 nights in a row. Most play about 36. I'm 72 and a few weeks ago carried 4000 lbs of pavers five days in a row to build a patio and we worked from 7 until 6 at night. Horford is half my age and can't play basketball for 30 minutes two nights in a row? Better go to one of those cremation info sessions. I don't think they should be paid for taking a night off. What a waste of $250,000.

Just can't understand why the hell a professional athlete getting paid $20M a year to play 80 games of basketball has to take a second night in a row off. He's what 36? What hell would he do if he had to work eight hours, two days in a row carrying flowers from the garden to the roadside stand to sell them? He'd probably need a golf cart rather than walk such a mind bending distance so often. My God, and the physical exertion for an entire day. Fuck me with a spoon............

I don't have issues with any contracts. I have issues with a player not being able to play two games in a row.

Like I said previously. I'm 72 years old. If I can hump 100 lbs of pavers thirty or forty times a day in 96 degree heat and do it for five days straight I think that it's a serious issue for a professional athlete not to be able to play two days in a row.

Oh yeah. I had five coronary bypasses in 2005, had a stent and new heart valve in 2019 and I'm a diabetic. All as a result of AO exposure through four tours in Vietnam.

I just don't understand why any athlete has to have a night off.

I freak when I hear that a baseball Player need a night off. Jesus, he might have run 180 feet as fast as he can once in the last two weeks.

I agree... the D has been somewhat concerning.

Some of it is Bob, some of it is the Celtics playing at a higher pace...

... but some of it is clearly not giving full effort.

The C's have interesting pieces on offense and a lot of potential there... but we win with defense, that's our edge... and the guys can't forget that.
