With so many moving parts I expect some growing pains until everyone adjusts to their roles.

Hopefully nesmith forced himself into the rotation with his shooting.

Yeah, Nesmith's young... (21?)... but he can definitely shoot and I love his hussle.

Keep in mind, we just need him to show 'promise' in order for him to be very useful... as a trade chip.

Yeah, Romeo gotta stay healthy. And he has to shoot better.

Langford's very athletic and he has got a good frame for a SG... so the potential on the defensive end is strong... but that's not near enough to be a high quality contributor.

It feels like the Celtics are flying under the radar this season, and that should serve them well

Jaylen Brown tests positive for COVID-19

The Boston Celtics announced Friday that Jaylen Brown has tested positive for COVID-19 and is ruled out for Saturday’s preseason game vs. the Toronto Raptors.

Asymptomatic.

Looks like Brown is required to quarantine until at least Oct 18th... and our first game of the season is Oct 20th.

So hopefully Jaylen's ready to go for opening night.

Apparently, Smart missed the team flight before the Orlando preseason game... obviously, a no-no... leading to his one game suspension. Not a big deal in the grand scheme of things.

But it was one of the first (visible) tests of our new coach, and I think Udoka handled it well. Gotta hold Smart accountable there... gotta have rules, and enforce them fairly/equally on all.

Sure, there are valid excuses for missing a flight.

But it doesn't sound like Smart had one.

Again, in the grand scheme of things not necessarily a huge deal... but I think the coach handled it well.

Anyone remember when former NBAer Jay Williams tweeted right after Udoka was hired that he was happy the Celtics finally hired a black HC? Too funny.

Obviously he didn't know about Bill Russell, KC Jones & ML Carr or Doc Rivers. What a dumbbell.
