I made my argument but you chose to give your spin. Aren't opinions great?

Well, your opinion seems to differ from the general consensus. More often than not, that means that's a "you" problem.

Just because my opinion differs from others here doesn't mean you're right and I am wrong. You aren't exactly an expert on the topic.

And neither are you. See how that works?
I never said I am an expert on this topic but you insinuated that you are. I guess we both are giving our uneducated opinion.

Well, the Raptors felt differently about Casey then you, and by your logic would be considered experts. So, what are you arguing about then?

A lot of us made arguments with @Hambombs about the Warriors firing a coach that consistently had a winning record and was getting his team to the 2nd round of the playoffs. Suffice it to say, I'm still picking crow out of my teeth. The Raptors may take a step back, but at this juncture it's better than being a team that shows high promise in the regular season just to become a consistent disappointment in the playoffs.

I think firing Casey was because Masai thought he was a bad playoff coach / tactician. Casey is a great guy and really developed the team during season.

I think this means they will keep both DeRozan and Lowry. They just go to battle in playoffs next year with a different coach.

Yeah, we're likely never going to see another '04 Pistons team for quite sometime. And in any event, they also had Larry Brown as a coach who was extremely underrated. Outside of Brad Stevens, he's the only coach I've seen that has had success at BOTH the collegiate and professional level.

I've posted before, I think Brown was the best coach ever.

I don't believe giving my opinion amounts to an argument.

You have a good point as he won an NBA Championship and an NCAA Championship. No other coach has ever done that.

The Cavaliers were the better team in my opinion.

I think most agree that the Cavs were the better team. But here is the problem...

Everything that the Raptors did this past off-season was geared towards getting HCA and beating the Cavs.

They got the #1 seed, had HCA and got the exact same result...swept out of the playoffs by the very team they put all of their energy towards beating.

When that happens, someone is going to be the scapegoat. Unfortunately, that is almost always the coach.

It may not be fair, but it's a lot easier to replace 1 coach than several players who all have guaranteed contracts and may be hard to move.

They, as in the players.
They, as in the players, were unprepared because of Casey & his team of coaches. Have to expect more from the HC. He has to at least give his team the tools to win - if that is done & they still lose then you can look at the players & start to look for better fits w/ different players.
