Well, he certainly can't make them any worse. Good luck to the kid. Good luck to NU next year especially since we don't have to play them.:)

because WKU is not on the same level with NU at all

maybe the early commit by turner scared him off?

This is just a bizarre choice. Western Kentucky? The Hilltoppers? The team consistently ranked at the top of ****'s bottom 10 for their brief duration in Div. I-A. Ridiculous. I'm not exactly crying over this but it just doesn't make sense. Turning down a team like NU that has produced alot of NFL career players to one that has produced ... um ... 0. There has to be more going on here.

Maybe he will get a chance to play and in 7 months he'll be looking up in that Nebraska sky wondering...oh god..what did I do.

He knew one of the coaches at WKU from his High School. He'll probably play sooner there than at NU.

Carnes commits to Western Kentucky - Sports - BradentonHerald.com

By JOHN LEMBO - [email protected]

"The Manatee High quarterback said Saturday he has committed to Western Kentucky, where he was taking his official visit this weekend."

"He chose the Hilltoppers, home to a pair of locals — WKU head coach Willie Taggart was a standout player at Manatee, and the team’s new defensive line coach, Raymond Woodie, was the head coach at Bayshore and Palmetto."

It is weird. Maybe the WKU people already assuming he's committed to them will piss him off enough to come here. Im not used to competing for a top notch prospect with Western Kentucky...western fucking kentucky.

Hey, lay off of WKU! They had a great tradition last year with their "0" wins!

Like I said, they were rated #1 on the E$PN Bottom 10 throughout this last season. Not to mention they're now going through a coaching turnover and retooling period to boot. Fucking terrible team.

We'll get the same benefit of playing them this year, as we did playing Pacific in 1994 and 1995... ZERO BENEFIT!

the benefit is a giant W on the schedule, another sell out, tons of income, and playing time for young players

that is the benefit
