Haven't had a chance to watch a game in a few days... looking forward to watching tonight... I noticed Pedro is taking some walks and making contact apparently of late. Well... By just looking at the box scores of late, it looks like he should be the bat boy for this team and not their "slugger"

If Clint Barmes is outhitting you, its time to start rethinking how you do things.

Just looked at tonight's starting lineup. Tabata is in RF and batting 2nd against righty starter Jake Westbrook. I'm beginning to see a pattern..... of Hurdle repeatedly keeping Snider out of the lineup in situations where it appears that he should start. In the opening series, Hurdle had Gaby Sanchez playing against righties instead of Snider. Now, he has Tabata playing instead of Snider.

I have nothing against Sanchez or Tabata..... hope they both do well when they play. But it seems to me that Snider should be playing against all righty starters (at least). I thought that was the plan..... I thought the Pirates "announced" that plan during Spring Training.

I could see it if Snider was slumping..... but he's been hitting pretty well (certainly much better than Sanchez, Alvarez, Barmes, Martin..... and Tabata). Seems to me that Snider should be playing regularly, until he demonstrates that he shouldn't be.

Quite the matchup tonight..... with Westbrook, who hasn't given up an earned run yet in his first 2 starts of 2013, vs. Sanchez, who hauls a 12.96 ERA into his 3rd start.

As great a player as Cutch is, he just doesn't have enough arm to be considered a 5-tool player.
