I watched the replay that Ice provided against Buffalo and we had maybe 35 to 40K people there. I know Pittsburgh fans come in droves, but they are not having a stellar season so far, and no one wants to come see our team, so do you think we can get 20k Steeler fans to show up for our home game?

Doesn't seem likely unless we beat the Colts, Seahawks and Titans on the road to push our record to 6-2. Unless we do that, I don't think we can even sell out the Pittsburgh game.

If the Bengals win 2 of the 3 before the Pitt game, it will sell out. They will be 5-3 and either be tied or just a game behind pitt. That will drive some fans out.

I think the folks in the area are just hammered down by the economy, and disenchanted since the whole 4-12, followed by ocho-cinco leaving, Carson Palmer quitting, and the NFL lock out. people around here need to be romanced back into the stadium.

Of course it will sell-out. There might only be about 30 or 35K Bengals fans in attendance, but the Steelers fans will take over the stadium - Doesn't matter what their record is. It's a cheap year to get a ticket for a Steeler game at PBS - The Steelers will likely be in the hunt. The place will be a packed house.

I think enough Pitt fans will come to offer a chance for someone to buy up the tickets to ensure it is on TV.

Like I said, though. If the bengals can win 2 of the next 3 (and all are winnable) then I think they'll have a shot at a true sell-out.

Kramer - You think the Steelers fans aren't traveling? I suspect they'll be there in record numbers.

You underestimate the size of the Pittsburgh bandwagon.

It'll sell out. The Steelers fan base travels well and more than that they have so many friggin bandwagon fans that arent from pitt. Take my brother in law for example. Born and raised in Cincinnati. Loves the Steelers. Hates the Bengals. He'll be there waiving his ultra faggy terrible towel and yucking it up with the other degenerate steeler fans.

Dont you fucking hate that!!! yes I live in Pa, but just barely, and for christs sake we are in the most southeastern part of the state, 60 miles south of Philly, 30 miles north of Baltimore, yet all we see are Stealer flags and banners all around, even in the Md parts, Stealer propaganda.

Went to Vegas back in Sept with a few people. We set out for Football Sunday morning. One of my buddies is a Stiller fan. Brought that damn towel with him like a child bringing a blanky. Seriously.

There's no chance of a sellout. You folks fail at math.

It's all in the way that they do math..... If we sell between 58 and 60 thousand tickets, they will call it a sell-out. That's what happened last year against TB.

A few weeks ago we put 43 in the stands for the niners - very few of which I would image to be niner fans.

I figure we will get an additional 15K for the Steelers and it will sell-out.

If not, I'll be here. So Smuck!

So, the roughly 40K tickets that are usually at the game...figure an increase of about 7K fans for a better team (win 2 of next 3 games gets them to 5-3). That's roughly 47K. Add in another 10K in steeler fans...and that is conservative. That's 57K. That's enough to get an extention. The extention will get them to roughly 60K fans...and someone will buy the remianing 5K plus.

There have been more tickets available in the past and they have been bought up by the bengals and/or Chanel 12 to get them on TV. I think last year Chanel twelve and the Bengals worked together to buy over 8K tickets for one game.

So, it is possible.

Maybe not probably.

But possible.

The season ticket base isn't big enough. There's zero chance. Y'all still fail at math.

Doubtful it sells out. I was at the bills game and bills fans swarm that stadium better than steeler fans have at any pitt game ive been to, and that was still the lowest attendence in history of pbs. Also consider that 90% of people that buy tix from now to then will get them from sights like ebay n stubhub, which are already accounted for being sold and do nothing to help lift a blackout.
