If we keep saying that the O line didn't block for Kaepernick and that Alex Smith would have been sacked nine times in this game, can we finally shut the O line apologists like Chris P and Clyde up? Can we finally agree that they are the problem?

Packers are right there.

The 49ers will finish up two and two and clinch a playoff spot. Just need Seattle to lose one more game and the Niners will win the division instead of being a wild card.

Go ahead and tell me accurately what I said about the OL.

To have a chance at the bye, the 49ers will either have to beat New England or Seattle in addition to the two gimmes against AZ and Miami.

In which game(s)?

LOL! Are you going to try and say that you didn't get all upset about me saying the O line was sub par? Really? I pegged you for a lot of things, but a liar wasn't one of them.

Just go ahead and tell me what I said. When did I say they pass blocked effectively?

Are you really going to try and say we did not have this conversation where you tried to belittle my opinion that the O Line did not protect the Quarterback and went so far as to say that it was Alex Smith's fault that they gave up so many sacks and hurries? You know it, I know it so stop trying to dance around it with ridiculous questions like "when did I say it?"

You are still so vague. I'll help you out because I'm getting tired of this. I've said that up to this point the 49ers offensive line has played well so far this season and has graded out as one of the best offensive lines in all of football as a unit despite having a QB that, at times, makes them look worse by holding onto the football too long. Do you disagree?

Then why not just admit it in the first place? Why the silly games? The line is deficient in the area of pass blocking; that much is clear. After yesterday's debacle, the "Its Alex's fault" excuse does not hold water.

I asked you to tell me what I've said. You could not, except for one exchange that you could barely recall what was said. How is that playing games?

A bad game doesn't change the fact that this OL is one of the league's very best.

But just to keep track of your opinions - we have mediocre QBs, a bad OL, and a non-existent pass-rush. How the hell is this team so good?

Alex Smith would've taken double the sacks that Kaepernick took yesterday.

The sloppy games are concerning but the actuality is that it's pretty par for the course for any team over the course of the season.

You're going to have games where you're outcoached and outplayed as that's just the nature of the NFL.

agree. even the best teams don't play 'great' every single game.

won't argue this might be a game (maybe even two) more than you'd expect, but nevertheless.

overall for the season, the O-line is good, but yesterday i felt they weren't. don't want to exaggerate so not saying they were horrible, but they gave up pressure a few too many times.

also think the run blocking could've been better.

IMO one, maybe two sacks Kaep avoided? so yes, this is the benefit of having him start.

but overall, the OFFENSE looked like the past with Alex Smith at the helm.

btw - Kaep needs to tuck that ball away when he's running. there were at least two plays where he was almost on the ground, and the ball wasn't against his body.

Because, in my opinion, you knew you said it and knowing how much I hate to look stuff up you played it so some might think you never said it. That is a silly tactic when a simple "I see what you mean now" would have sufficed.
