Who the hell is Tom Brady?
For that matter, who are 90% of the people on that list? Never heard of them.

To be fair, the only reason Cam is famous, is because he pissed his pants during the post super bowl press conference.

It could also be those ankle-high tight pants he wears with no socks, making him an instant hero among the teeny bopper crowd.

"Ben Alamar, ESPN's director of sports analytics, devised a formula that combines salary and endorsements with social media following and Google search popularity to create the ESPN World Fame 100 rankings."

Thanks Ben. :L

Even the soccer fans thought Cam not going after that fumble was a puss move.

To be fair, Tom appears as the 3rd NFL player on the list after CamshaftedthePanthers and the AcrobaticBeckham; the latter probably due to having the same last name as a metrosexual soccer player.

Honestly I had no clue who this dude was? Wasn't even sure if the name was female or male? So I'll have to take your word for it.

Oh yeah Kimi is huge worldwide, less so in the US, but we aren't even 5% of the worlds population here. And Kimi was just a monster in the late 2000's. There were years only Tiger made more than him (again, worldwide sport).

Lets just put it this way, 3 year contract, 153 million dollars. 51 million a year. Plus being one of the top endorsement earners in the world. Tom Brady in year 16 of his career just made more than one of Kimi's 3 year deals. Insanity... Guy was getting huge sponsorship deals all over the world.

It's kind of like Yao Ming. I remember T-mac talking about playing a pre-season game in China... Saying something about how he thought he was pretty well liked because he had pockets of fans all over the US until he got there and realize what it means to be the #1 hero of a nation with over a billion people...
