I was going to totally agree with this because you never see them having a top 10 recruiting class. But, maybe their classes are better than I thought because there are 33 TCU players listed on NFL teams. I'd of guessed 12-15.

So their talent is better than I thought or Patterson's crew does a damn good job of developing them.

They don't get many 4-5 stars. And without looking them up I'd guess most aren't stars or starters.

He’s a hell of a coach and they develop their players well. This year’s class was ranked 25th from one service I looked at which I think is pretty much par for the course for them. The team itself generally finishes much higher than that in the end of year rankings which is telling.

They get some talent but I think they develop and also evaluate very well. And Patterson is a hell of a coach.

More like "over-rated Programs in the last few years probably done through the eyes of a lesser program with a few years of recent success that somehow makes them feel they have arrived yet still have an empty trophy case to go with that 10-2 season that nobody will remember in 15 years from now"

Some of the rationale tends to be based on a few year samples of recent results.
If you had done this in the early 2000s, Alabama would be getting blasted or Ohio State in the 1990s.

College Football moves at glacial place.
The reason these programs are blue-bloods is because they have built their program over the course of 100+ years.
