Well, what else would you expect if your team went 27 years without hiring a good HC? Between Jimmy Johnson and Mike McCarthy we had nothing but slop at HC unless you count the ghost of Bill Parcells.
Having a legitimately good HC now, the prospect of actually winning multiple playoff games feels viable.

This is uncanny. In all my years of watching football, I’ve never seen a collapse like this in the NFL. They were a fugaze 10-1 but they were at least competitive. They just look unprofessional at this point.

For me, the moment came when they quit on the DC. Desai wasn’t great but during the bye week they took away from him 3rd down game planning and play calling. That’s the first chink (no racist) in the armor of confidence. Things have gotten progressively worse since then. You can’t signal to the group a lack of confidence.

The stories coming out after they get eliminated are going to be legendary. There’s something wrong with them. Something seriously wrong with them! (Borrowed from Bill Murray in Stripes).
