Take it for what it's worth, but according to posters on PackPride, Inside Carolina's premium site has a thread titled Butch Davis to be fired today. There was also a tweet from IC saying they were trying to confirm.

UNC must be firing Davis for cause, otherwise they'll have to pay him a pile of money.

If Davis is gone, that means Pittman is going to be the interim head coach...until they throw him under the bus after the season.

This must be what that vague TSL post was regarding. It is bad news because he isn't a good coach, but it will turn out to be good news because they will hire an even worse coach.

Whoever comes in will have to deal with NCAA sanctions for the first two or three years...that will make the job search for UNC pretty tough.

The only one out of the bunch that would interest me is Hughes. The others were cocky and shit as they madetheir decision. Hughes was just infatuated with what Butch sold him and seemed mislead.

Turner and Holts were filled up with UNC crap from Blake, Pittman, and Davis about how they weren't in any trouble with the NCAA, and how they would be turned into NFL OLs. People they should have trusted tried to tell them what was really going on at UNC but they just wouldn't listen.
