I would guess us signing Pears means Jonathan Martin won't be making the roster which will save us 1 million. I'm also happy with the Bush signing. If he can stay healthy he should be a nice addition. Time to open up the playbook and throw some screens to Reggie coming out of the backfield.

Just heard about it on disney. They suggest he's a replacement for Gore ? mkay

Good luck with that guys but I think he's done.

What happened with whatshisnuts from OSU ? I don't feel like looking it up. I thought he was going to be Gore's replacement

Bush is okay as a change of pace RB but not an every down player.

It will be interesting to see if we use him on kickoff and punt returns. I hope we didn't pay too much for this move. I'm guessing around 3-4 mil per year.

He won't return kicks or he shouldn't anyway. Too fragile and his elusiveness and ability to make guys miss has always been overrated.... in the pros anyway. How is Kap at screens and dumping it off ? With his running ability that could make Bush more effective on those if he can stay on the field.

$4M a year? I hope not.

I would give him $2M year tops. I would have rather looked for an RB in the draft.

dont know the numbers yet. hearing 2 yeas 8.5 mill. 4.25 mill a year. again this is not 100%

7.5 guaranteed for Gore vs. 8.5 probable for Bush (2 years is more probable than Gore's 3), I'd rather keep Gore... except for the change of pace back aspect. Not saying much other than the obvious that Gore > Bush in traditional RB play... insert 2000 Presidential Election joke.

Hard to tell, can't say he's good at it because we rarely do it... can't put it on him for not running it. Haven't seen it done well often when we do, that part could be some blame on Kaepernick, though blocking and others come into play there.

I hear people discount a QB's TD on screens because it's "easy," but then there isn't blame on the QB when the team doesn't run that "easy play" or they fail on the screen.

If Bush can stay healthy he might add something to the offense. His production last season was crappy. I hope the 9ers didn't spend much on this risk.

Curious to see that you don't have the 9ers as one of your teams. Moving on?

Didn't like having three there. It looked too full. The Utah Jazz are still playing and March Madness is coming up. It'll be back up there come draft time. I'll have the Utes up there until the end of the tournament regardless of how far they go. Then, the Niners will replace them. Once the Jazz season's over officially, I'll make a choice as to keeping the Jazz or putting back the Utes.

I know that's a long explanation and a bit contrived, but I didn't expect to explain it.
