They didn't stand a chance against the Braves, Phillies, Rangers, Reds, Cardinals, Tigers, Pirates, Nationals, Cardinals, and Royals either. So there's that.

Eh, Cardinals are always the underdogs too so I get it. I personally just don't think this team specifically is as good as the others but you still have Madison and he's the best. The Giants usually make all of the right in game moves but those vegas odds against the Cubs are going to be harsh.

I thought Duda still had injury concerns or something. Any way you look at it they definitely overachieved with all the injuries and what they had to work with by the end of the season. But that matchup against Bumgarner was probably the worst possible scenario with the roster they have now.

Yeah, in general I think the value placed on a manager's in game decisions is overrated by most people but if there is a manager that stands way above the rest at managing a game to win it has to be Bochy.

The Cubs had 4 wins against the Giants this season and the Giants had 3 wins against the Cubs. Hitting gets you into the playoffs. Pitching wins the playoffs.

Only getting to use Bum once, maybe twice if he comes out of the pen in game, is not the way the Giants would be beating the Cubs.

I disagree. Bumgarner is the best in the business right now, but the Giants have a solid rotation with Queto, Samardzija, and Moore, not to mention their bullpen.
