Pitching wins the playoffs.
Pitching wins championships, except when it doesn't.
Pitching wins the playoffs.
The Phillies done went. Not to worry though-fast forward to next year and everyone in here will be butchering Rhys Hoskins' name as they marvel at his 50 HR season......All one can say after that game... Fuck the Mets. Go Phillies!
It will be an orgy of as VV strikes out batter after batter in route to yet another Phillies championshipThe Phillies done went. Not to worry though-fast forward to next year and everyone in here will be butchering Rhys Hoskins' name as they marvel at his 50 HR season......
Giants are the first team to win 2 WC games.amazingly, Bumgarner has lost 3 times in the playoffs before .
But never in a WC game or WS game.
completely agree (except I'd use "mediocre hitting" instead of bad). There are a lot of guys making a lot of money feasting on inferior pitching. There are, of course, exceptions to every idiom, but good pitching beats good hitting. But bad hitting beats bad pitching.
In the regular season, you face "bad pitching" more often than not. Not only are you facing non-playoffs teams most nights, but you are facing a non-top-4 SP AT LEAST 20% of the time. In the playoffs, you never face a non-top-4 SP, and you never face a non-playoff rotation.
This is obviously total BS.There are, of course, exceptions to every idiom, but good pitching beats good hitting. But bad hitting beats bad pitching.
They showed on TV his foot pretty clearly came off the bag with the tag still on him.
Most have been after I switched the channel because every angle I saw he looked safe.
As per common sense-The Cubs had 4 wins against the Giants this season and the Giants had 3 wins against the Cubs. Hitting gets you into the playoffs. Pitching wins the playoffs.
Yeah, noI disagree. Bumgarner is the best in the business right now, but the Giants have a solid rotation with Queto, Samardzija, and Moore, not to mention their bullpen.
