I just read that David Bruton played 3 full quarters of the Steelers game with a fractured right fibula. Talk about playing through pain for the team. It was reported that he could barely walk in the locker room after the game. Obviously, our issues at safety have reached the "dire" stage. We really need to get Stewart and Ward back on the field. Both are still question marks for Monday's game against the Bengals.

I'm sorry when a player does it - and somehow proud of him too.

One thing with Bruton...his toughness has never been questioned and I think this yr he was really coming into his own and finally healthy and then he got banged up some. That sucks for him. I wish some of the other guys on team would put forth the effort he has always done. Tough kid.

Out 4-6 weeks according to db.com. So likely for the year.

A tough hombre.

I wonder if we would sign a S like Brandon Meriweather who the Giants just cut to give their young S's a look.

Speaking of Bruton, why the heck hasn't Wallace been suspended for his ridiculously dirty hit on Bruton? I thought he should've been ejected for it. If the NFL is serious about eliminating head shots, Wallace should be suspended just like OBJ.

Yeah that was very dirty.

He is a first time offender so I can maybe justify not suspending him. (Maybe), but he a play like that should get a player ejected and he should get a huge fine.

I see Brees tore/separated his plantinhisfacea but will play final two games apparently. I guess it`s true what they say that a complete separation is far better than a tear like Manning as far as pain and recovery. Brees is a tough sob also.

Cody Wallace fined $23,152 with no suspension for the illegal hit on Bruton.

Wallace should have been ejected. The game was already chippy and then that cheap shot? Incredible. The league cannot expect to be taken seriously if it allows that to go with just a fine.

On another note, this sets up some seriously bad blood between these teams should they face off in the playoffs. I wouldn't want to see our guys go out of their way to retaliate, but it wouldn't surprise me to see our D-line attack Wallace with a fury should they get a chance to.

I sold insurance on a broken leg once. Well, that is not really true - I have never broken my leg, but if I did - I'm reasonably sure I could have sold insurance with a broken leg. Maybe more - since a broken leg is bound to make people think you know something about the benefits business.

Actually he had another bad incident where a player was on the ground in a pile up and video caught him either grabbing another player and squeezing his balls or jamming his finger in the man's back side. Either way not good.
