Ugly game but as a 9er fan if you can have 5 turnovers and be -3 in TO differential I'll take the W.

Honestly from my perspective Manson had a solid game given the circumstances. I consider the 9ers D a legit top 5 unit in the league and they were in the backfield all day with just 4 guys most of the time so there wasn't a ton he could do. He showed some good escapability and aside from a pressure induced INT he did what he could give the play calling and a toothless running game.

Despite the Steelers' defense getting good pressure I think ultimately that's the weakest part of the team. If the 9ers didn't turn the ball over 5 times especially the 3 times they were deep in Steelers' territory it's probably a 2 score game in favor of the 9ers. At least it looks like Minkah will earn his keep even though I still don't like trading that 1st rounder for him.

I'd say that's only part of it when it comes to the pass rush. The 9ers have a deep defensive line so they reduce their snaps by rotating guys in and out and the other part is the front 4 guys are all pretty good at rushing the passer and when they can pin their ears back and go it's going to be tough on the offensive line.

James Conner needs to step it up. Same issues we had with him last year. Injury prone, which was a worry out of the draft for me, no production, which was a worry through the first part of last season for me.

Our secondary needs to learn how to tackle mother fuckers.

5 in the last 16 games I believe it is. 13 last year and 3 this year.

If you wanna dive down deeper, 4 fumbles in the last 12, 3 in the last 10 and 2 in the last 6.

I'd say for a Steelers fan Conner's fumble in this game is unforgivable.

To be fair it was a great play by the defender to punch the ball out but you simply cannot have a fumble in that situation.

There is 5:30 left in the game it's 1st down and you either try to ice the game by just driving down the field and burning the clock down. Or you at least burn the clock down, punt, and make the 9ers offense drive down the field to get the field goal.

Fumbling at that spot basically ties the game since it's easily in FG range and it allowed the 9ers to burn most of the clock before they capped it off with a TD and than made you have to drive the length of the field to get a TD to win.

except jaylen isnt a runner, never has been.

in 2018 NFL-games with 11-12-19 carries

This was kinda some of my point with benny snell football. Samuels in all 4 years of college and his pro career has NEVER had a 20 carry game. he ONCE has had MORE THAN 12 carries. THeres a reason for this. He has a skillset, a very very good skillset. He can break some runs on occasion. But he is not a runner. Neither is Benny Snell. SO its conner or nothing.......
