Thanks, man. Adopting is the way to go for me. I adopted my last Boston and I'm looking for another now. By the way, do not go to the Humane Society if you have a shred of heart, or you'll leave feeling like you want to eat a bullet. So sad people can have a dog 10 years, for instance, then just drop it off. They should never be allowed to own an animal again.

You Lab looks really trim and fit. I have a friend with one (black) and she is thick. They do love their food!

It's definitely an advantage being in CA and having a dog. You can walk them or go to the park basically 350 days of the year. That helps to keep them in shape. Our vet told us to not let her get above 65lbs. Labs have problems with their hips and it's important to keep the weight off. She's 4, but very much a puppy still.

Yeah...it was a job offer back on 2002. That was 2 jobs ago, but I can't imagine moving back now. I have a wife and a kid now, so not exactly mobile. We get back a couple times a year, though. All my fam is on the East Coast...that's the only part that sucks....
