Prepare for the Yankee fan death threats for Pedroia over Cano. Of course, you don't have to worry about those until the Yankees win again.

Cano has driven home base runners 25 times. L'il Pusty has done it 34 times. Cano has to do more than hit homeruns. He has the potential to hit .330 every year. At .277, he's about 50 points below where he should be. He's under-achieving. That's a fact.

Yeah. It really isn't that difficult.

I think at SS Johny Perallta has a case. Also instead of Nava I would have Rios.

For the SP I would like to see maybe Matt Moore as well.

Cano-.277BA
Ichiro-.259BA
Overbay-.256BA
V. Wells-.237BA
Youk-.235BA
Hafner-.231BA

The "best" hitter on the team is Gardner. Not a big enough sample on Granderson or Teixeira to include them yet...but neither one can hit. The fact that they are well over .500 is amazing.

The fact that you are using BA shows that you are unable to comprehend who the best hitter is when there are much better stats out there.

A case really can't be made for Rios over Nava, Crisp or Bautista...

are the 2 HR's and 10 SB (4 CS's) really worth 11 RBI, 3 runs and 30 points of OPS?

IMO? No...

You should see what each one is hitting for the month of June. I think Ichiro is the only one over .200

Underacheiving Cano is still better than Pedroia away from Fenway

If the stadium has a LF wall 200 feet from home plate, you want Dusty as your 2B

When it isn't though, Cano is a better option. As are another half dozen AL 2B

.714 OPS on the road.... that's 2010 Jeter-esque
