Willy McGinest said the same thing the other day. No defending what Garrett did either because he went wayyy too far but for Rudolph to get off scott free is wrong too. This kid should get at least a game, if not 2 for his actions in all of this. He is far from an innocent victim. Any other player besides QB, I think there is a suspension.

Thats what was ridiculous about Mason saying what he said in the press conference

No doubt timing played a role (but not sure it should). If this is a sunday at 1pm game and/or Garrett committed his act on a lineman and not a QB I think his suspension is 2-3 games max.

To me, the worst act in all this was Ogunjobi. He came after and knocked over Rudolph who did not see him coming.

What do you think the narrative is if we subbed Rudolph and garrett for Baker and Watt (meaning Browns losing, Baker sacked and tries to rip off Watt's helmet, then goes after Watt and get hit like Rudolph did?
If it was Watt he should & would get the same punishment.
In fact I believe the player that hit another Player in the head with his own helmet should get a min. of 10 games. & I mean minimum!!! if the NFL is gonna go off their tiers. Absolute minimum. I wouldnt be upset if it was a full 16.
BTW if you are saying the NFL might react differently if it were baker. They might. But it would be a heavier reaction if it were different. The NFL wants Baker on the field.

Actually I think the opposite...most fan are rational.

It's the small percentage that are the lunatic fringe.
I can agree for the most part.....but when it comes to polarizing figures like Baker I think the lunatics are more prevalent.

My comment was in regards to fan/media reaction. Not the NFL.

How many games should choking a player while he's on the ground receive?

Let me be clear what I am saying is directed more to the NFL. Not you.

And yet the choke didn't result in a suspension. Not even a game. Truth be told, I don't think the guy should have been suspended, as it was not like OBJ was blameless.

Kind of the same type of situation we have here, isn't it? Rudolph was not blameless, like OBJ. The choke really did no damage to OBJ, like the hit to Rudolph. The hit to Rudolph could have badly hurt him (maybe killed him). Not sure anyone could be badly hurt from being choked, but they can be killed (I guess there could be severe bruising as well).

Says the guy crying the most.....
crying?

me - "Myles went well over the line and deserved to be suspended"
me - "Ogunjobi committed the worst act IMO. He hit Rudolph when Rudolph was not expecting it."

I'm okay...Garrett, Pouncey and Ogunjobi are all getting what they deserve...Rudolph will be a little lighter in the wallet.

It's over...see you guys again in a couple of weeks....interesting that TV flexed that 4p game to 1.

I think the flex was no more than them deeming KC/Oakland a more desirable matchup.

Good point...I guess either way it's a more appealing game, but had KC lost last night and OAK loses @ NYJ they could have two rather mediocre teams for a 4p game.

Also a good point.

Truth be told, I'd say the Browns were placed into way more premier timeslots than they probably deserved without proving anything,

I tend to agree CLE was trust into more primetime games than warranted off the '18 season, but I also think the NFL and TV networks looked at the offseason signings and like many, they bought into the Browns being even better this season. With such a long absence, I think everybody wanted a slice...ESPN, (MNF), NBC (SNF), and Fox/CBS on (TNF).

Yeah...I cannot completely blame them with them looking to be on an upswing and personalities like Baker and OBJ.
