Yup!
The season was gonna be an uphill battle once Rivera started weakening areas of strength.
While having 3 very good WRs is great, a good OLine is better. Rivera should have known better.
His whole tenure here has been a disaster.

I was raked over the coals when I called the Rivera hire a mistake after he got hired. I could live somewhat with Rivera the coach. I cannot live with Rivera the GM. We literally wasted a 3rd round pick and 28 million in 2022 cap for a risk everybody knew would fail.
It is mistake after mistake with his regime.
I have complained about Scott Turner for 3 years now as well. What a waste.

It would never happen of course but yes.
Like in the NBA draft, teams make trades with agreements on who the team will pick since that player will go to the team.

In other words, if Snyder selects bezos bid for example, Snyder hires a GM already chosen by bezos to help with the transition. For example, bezos's bid is chosen by Snyder in January, but we know the league won't vote until March. The sell will be final in May or so. If bezos's GM gets a jump start, it saves a year.

It won't happen for a million reasons. I was thinking of a white house transition team approach. That is not realistic though.

Bottom line, Rivera sticking around one more year literally does nothing for this organization period. He will be a lame duck coach but will make critical decisions. It frustrates me but it's reality. Rivera will surely know henis going to get canned so i doubt he makes any serious attempt to improve the team.
