Season in peril ?
Thanks for posting this @Cali
They would have been no better with Fitz, in fact, I believe with him, they would be 1-7 right now and Heinicke would have replaced him in the lineup. What confidence this team had went down with “Fritz”

My biggest takeaway beyond the usual blah, blah, blah, is his concession on getting a QB. "We're going to get a guy that we like, but we're not going to mortgage the future."
This literally means that they aren't going to trade up in the draft or trade very much for a player on another team. Forget, Tua, Jimmy G or guys on that level, their teams are going to want more than Rivera and Co. wants to pay, which is likely a 3rd or some equally asinine BS. Forget the cost to move up in the draft. Again, if they wanted to, they could have done that last draft where there was much better talent, but they didn't because it cost too much. What's left? taking the best of the rest in the draft when it's their time to pick.
That is quite a concession, considering the pretty weak 2022 QB draft class that's going to yield more guys who aren't starter ready than the one or two who arguably might be.
That's non sense. Fitz is a NFL QB. Heiny is not. They would have been no better with Fitz, in fact, I believe with him, they would be 1-7 right now and Heinicke would have replaced him in the lineup.
The reality check moment that every team and their fans dread when things are going bad, comes with the realization that other bad teams on their schedule circle, or put a check mark, by this team as a win for them. The Broncos may be Just as bad as we are. Well, not quite.
at this rate they won't need to. truththey aren't going to trade up in the draft
