Three of my favorite Broncos - but I am happy that Lock has the opportunity to become a starter, and he'll have a familiar target in Noah Fant -- the Hawks have immediately become my 2nd favorite team ..

Here's to Shelby Harris batting down a 4th down Aaron Rodger pass to seal the game

I wonder if it's both 2nd round picks this year or not. Lot's to give up, but a great trade (can't believe Seattle did it). We have Albert O. who is just like Noah Fant. We kept the receivers together with a great QB and a decent offensive coordinator will make this interesting.

They want to throw it deep and Wilson is one of the better deep ball guys in the league. Hamler (healthy), Sutton and Jeudy are smiling now because of the deep ball chances they will get.

"Denver acquiring Wilson has nothing to do with the Aaron Rodgers' decision to return to Green Bay. Denver general manager George Paton initiated trade talks with Seattle for Wilson at least two weeks ago, per sources. But in recent days, as trade talks with Seattle heated up, it become clear that Wilson was the Broncos' Plan A. The Broncos and Packers have not discussed a Rodgers trade this offseason, and the trade for Wilson was unrelated to Rodgers' decision to remain in Green Bay."

ESPN does not have Fant listed as part of the deal ... this could just be an oversight, or perhaps Fants stays put .. we'll see

No wonder the Hawks declined Washington's offer

I hate losing Fant and Harris but it could have been WAY worse. HUGE win for the Denver Broncos!!

My take is one of the players was probably going to be Fant or Jeudy the other probably Chubb Or Harris. I think in this situation even though Chubb has been injury prone and Jeudy hasn't lived up to his hype I think we won both the battles here. Chubb may help this place be more attractive to a guy like Von Miller. Chubb could be healthy and blossom this year (don't laugh) we already lack pass rush. Dre'Mont Jones is going to be a star this year anyway so Harris frees up some money toward Wilson. ;)

Fant and Jeudy would both benefit from a better QB but I think I prefer to keep Jeudy as much as I want to go with the Iowa guy.

Shelby Harris is a good guy, but he wasn't playing to his new contract so that actually will save some money. Now, let's spend some money on getting after the QB.

BINGO!!

Harris has had some good games since his contract but he hasn't been consistently good.

And protecting an older one.

Just threw my Noah Fant jersey in my storage tote to be placed under the steps and hidden away for awhile.

I kind of figured Fant would be trade piece. I wonder how we approach FA now?

With Nathaniel Hackett and Russell Wilson, this offense will obviously, and thankfully, look completely different

What do you see for this offense now ??

Russ will obviously used on bootlegs and, while this might sound obvious, the running game will have a distinct role .... Hackett leading the Jags to the NFL's #1 rushing attack in 2017, plus the Broncos parting with Fant - notoriously lacking in blocking - I can see an offense similar to what we had, at least in theory, when Jake The Snake was here ..

Does the acquisition of Russ bode well for bring back Melvin Gordon ??

Will we see more of Andrew Beck and/or a more physical emphasis put on the TEs ??

I know Yall gonna think I have a man crush on Paton and every GM plans ahead and all that but I truly feel like Paton does a great job at planning ahead and is very detailed in his planning. I feel like every piece of this trade was well thought out by him and not just spur of the moment of throwing this in and throwing that in to make this trade work. Not sure Paton sleeps at night.

Remember when everyone complained because we passed on Russell Wilson for Brock Osweiler? Well, at least we have Wilson now I suppose.
Better late than never

Crash wanted Russ so bad, even if we were going to have to put him at safety !!

He isn't declining but he is 34 and on the downside of his career. He isn't going to be getting better at his age.

Y'all gave up 5 picks and 3 players? Ouch.
