He is going to go higher then we are willing to take him, IMO.. We need a "DOG" and "SPEED" RB. Once we re-signed Burton I think the Skatteboo roster spot was axed. He would be that extra do it all guy who would block and run the short stuff.

We also have Estime so he just doesn't fit for where he will go in the draft. Is a good call out that NOBODY has him mocked to us.

@cdumler7 Love the mock... I am a huge Billy Bowman fan.

Appreciate it. Yeah was looking for some safety depth as just not sure what we have beyond our starters and while I don't mind Locke I just would love a little more boost to that group. Plus if nothing else I think he could shine on special teams.

Jets are definitely in rebuild mode so getting an extra pick added to their arsenal when they can probably get a similar graded player at 51 that they could at 42 makes a ton of sense for them. Broncos it makes sense if Hampton or Henderson somehow fall past the first few picks in the 2nd round and not risk waiting.

Jets are definitely in rebuild mode so getting an extra pick added to their arsenal when they can probably get a similar graded player at 51 that they could at 42 makes a ton of sense for them. Broncos it makes sense if Hampton or Henderson somehow fall past the first few picks in the 2nd round and not risk waiting.

Problem I see with trading up is that the Jets and us both need/want a TE, and if Taylor is there, I see Jets taking him.

Very real possibility. To me if the Broncos are trading up in the 2nd it is because they passed on WR in the 1st and want to make sure not to get caught without one of their top guys at the position. Especially if they trade back and get that extra draft capital. The idea behind that would be Paton getting his trade back so that Payton can then be aggressive for his very targeted players.

Trading back and then trading up makes the most sense. don’t need a first round pick with our specific needs.

I agree that I think the most likely scenario is we stay where we are in the first and take our RB and then trade up in the second 10-15 spots.

Round 3 Gunnar Helm TE Texas – local kid comes home and I mean Mackinnon sent him a signed jersey for the draft so there is that omen. Consolation prize after missing out on Taylor.
Round 4 Jeffery Bassa LB Oregon - a bit of a project but has the skills to be a very good coverage LB

Round 6 Cam Jackson DT Florida – Project, but with a ton of upside and a huge human being.
