I mean I didn't really trust Hoyer if Flacco went down but I sure as hell don't trust Brandon Allen. Seems like we would've been better off with Hogan at this point if we were gonna get a bottom tier QB.

Hard to trust any backup QB but this is a no brainer upgrade from Hogan. Would have been embarrassing to be “fine” keeping Hogan as our backup.

Decent accuracy, but 3 int’s to 0 TD in preseason, coupled with zero regular season snaps doesn’t provide much to believe he’s a significant improvement.

Not exactly sure how Allen is so much better than Hogan that he's some tremendous upgrade.

I'm curious as to how you know Allen is such a much better QB than Hogan despite the fact that he doesn't have any real game experience and you said yourself you don't want to go off PS numbers. Is it just a feeling or do you just hate Hogan?

I'm not saying I want Hogan, I would've been content with Hoyer or someone with actual game experience even if it was below average like Hogan has been, but I fail to see how you can say being fine with Hogan would've been an embarrassment and then sit there and pretend like Allen is some great improvement.

Duffman- We are talking about a shitty QB in Kevin Hogan. Nobody is claiming Allen is great. Relax. My point is why keep a shitty QB? Try something else. You don’t keep a crap player on your roster and not try and improve. You are making this into a bigger deal then it is. We are making/giving a look at a QB who has better tools then Hogan. Allen is not a future starter here it is simply a stop gap to when Lock is healthy. Butbyou surely don’t stick with Hogan who has been terrible. Allen at least has some upside. Nobodybis expecting him to be the next Tom Brady or even a Case Keenum for that matter. He may not even be aroubd long. In the NFL u dont just sit around content when you have given another player opportunity and he has proven to fail. Don’t be so dramatic nobody said Allen was a drastic improvement.

You must be thinking of someone else as it would've been 2012 when DT was in year 2 and I didn't join this board until 204.

2. Wishing the Broncos to not go to the playoffs the year they won the Super Bowl “Because we would just get blown out in the playoffs.

Clearly that was an expert ploy in reverse psychology. Treat the team like dirt and they will rise up to prove you wrong and show you they were capable of winning all along. Kind of like a father who tells you you're not good enough but he secretly knows you are he just because he knows you have it in you and wants to push you since he knows it'll work.

3. Being ok with Kevin Hogan as a backup QB.

More ok with a subpar Kevin Hogan than a QB with no real experience and looked worse in the only games he's ever played against backups than the shitty QB we already had.

If Flacco goes down with Hogan we lose by 14 every game, with Allen we lose by 21 but hey at least he's a brand new QB for us to expose to the world as garbage and according to you that's better.

Spencer is a very good return man, but he lost the 2018 Grey Cup for the CFL championship for Ottawa by fumbling a return - costing his team the championship.
