Speed Kills
I don't know about you fellas but I'm tired of all the Bronco bashing. Especially within our own fan base and on here as well. Here is an example and I hope you fellas add some more. I don't like typing 1 page posts but I could on this subject.
I just watched Jamie Dukes (I know, I generally don't pay attention to that uniformed Bronco hating fool) but it there seems to be a consensus that our D is terrible. Just look at the last 4 weeks, they're playing very very well right now. For instance both Dukes and Baldinger said they would take the Pats D (ranked 26th) over the Broncos D (ranked 19th) and Denver's D is smoke and mirrors. Really? Dukes said that teams are so far behind that they have to throw and that's the reason Denver is ranked 7th in rush D. Hmm really!? Yes we are 25th in attempts against but he made it sound like teams don't even attempt to run against us or have to abandon the run game by halftime. For instance if you add just one more run per game we jump to 19th in attempts against per game and 2 more runs per game we jump all the way to 8th. I know, I know, "what if's" but it's legit IMO. There's about 63 offensive plays per game in the NFL and just two more runs or about 3% more jumps us to 8th in attempts against. Now those two fools would have a point if teams ran 10-15-25% less but they don't.
I don't think I've ever seen a team that so many people really liked at the beginning of the season as a SB team, drop so far in these "so called experts" opinion. I have a friend that thinks the perception of the Broncos changed after the Dallas game. I think he's right and the Broncos are getting very little love for what they've done lately. How many wins do we have, yeah that's right 14 and counting! Are we playing in the AFC Championship, Hell yeah! Must be all those smoke and mirrors.
Truth is I generally don't care what the experts say but it seems everyone looks at the Broncos as a lucky team that can't do anything but throw the ball and I'm personally getting tired of hearing it...
