As soon as I heard Britton was starting, I nearly flipped out and posted a "NOOOOOO not Britton" thread. I decided against it because I knew it would just piss off Ted and we have people complaining about the negativity on this board already. Suffice to say, my fears were justified. Britton had pitched well in AAA recently.....but that was AAA. When will we learn our lesson? You give Britton a chance to figure it out early in the season.....not when the games start mattering more and there is no time to turn it around. Britton nearly blew it for us last year and was left off the postseason roster.....we are slow learners I guess.

Its fundamental baseball.....guy at 3rd, 1 out. Get the sacrifice fly and get him in. We got beat yesterday because Cleveland was able to do that. It's stuff you learn in little league but our guys refuse to change their approach.

I think deep down, he knows Nate at 2M is a steal.....but his love for Reimold is too great. He would rather give Reimold 1M and put him in LF then pay Nate 2M and have someone who can actually play for a full year.

Have to agree with that. AJ is the worst. When the situation calls for a ball lofted into outfield, you can count on AJ to top the ball and put it on the ground in the infield. Every time. And he gets paid to do that again, and again, and again.
