He was a dominant closer, if he's able to become even half of what he was he will be a serviceable reliever. More than Marmol at least. I've been high on Kenley Jansen since he put on the uniform, I don't want to see him unseated as the closer, barring some serious injury of course.

Still, I would rather have guys on the rise, instead of guys that have all very likely peaked talent wise.

Who wouldn't want that? But the problem is that we need arms now. You can't sit around and wait for someone to develop when you're in a pennant chase.

Brian Wilson is a low-risk option that is making fans of the Giants have their skin crawl. One Giants blogger said that seeing Brian Wilson pick the Dodgers is like "watching your mom make out with Tommy Chong."

Jansen closes 2 games in a row, do you want a Brian Wilson that is healthy or a Brandon league closing that next game if Jansen can't go? I for one want anyone that will help the Dodgers win, be it setup, closer, long relief or whatever. The fact that he was an all star and a stud closer at one point, tells me the 50000 in the park won't affect his thought process getting people out late in a game.
