Great guess. Horrible pick.

Hope I'm wrong.

Chiefs GM hinted that there was major interest in Jordan Love in terms of trading down and once he left the board no one was wanting to trade up. He was BPA in terms of value for sure.

As a former Packer fan, who is still disgusted with how they handled Brett Favre's ending, I would love it if Rodgers got the same treatment that he helped give Favre.

Dunno. If Rodgers lasts a few more years, he will be retiring when the new guy is coming off his rookie contract and they'll have to decide if he's worth the big dollars or not.

Only issue I have is Love =/= Rodgers as a prospect.

Rodgers could've easily been the #1 overall pick and it was basically a coin flip from San Fran drafting Rodgers or Smith. Then it turned out that zero teams needed a QB until the Packers selected.

Love was a 2nd-3rd round QB prospect... not #1 overall. He's extremely raw and with bitch boy Rodgers in Green Bay I doubt he's going to be enthusiastic about mentoring Love.

Don't teams get the 1st round picks for 5 years on their rookie deal? That gives the Packers plenty of time to decide if he is the future. No guarantee Rodgers plays for 4 more years.

Jordan Love will spend the next three seasons as a bench warmer.

I don't mind Love. He is a project QB and he could be a damn good one but Rodgers wants to win now. Get the man a damn weapon in the 1st round. Tee Higgins would have been a nice fit imo.

Plus, when GB drafted Rodgers he was considered a top 5 pick and he slid down the board. Love was never considered even close to that so really nothing close to a sure thing.

GB went freaking 13-3 last year. The Bears and Vikings are thrilled they didn't add an elite weapon. I mean GB could have traded up to the mid-round 1st and got Lamb or Jefferson potentially, just an example.

Well Favre wouldnt mentor Rodgers. Said it wasnt his job. So Rodgers could rinse & repeat, or remember what a Douche Favre was to Rodgers & go the other route & mentor his successor. I mean they're not gonna bench Rodgers for new guy. Honestly nothing to be afraid of. Unless he plans on playing past his 4 year contract.

True... difference is Rodgers was a FAR better prospect than Love.

The first words out of Rodgers' mouth to Favre were "What's up grandpa?", and later went on to compare Wonderlic scores. I wouldn't tutor that little bitch either. I think it's hilarious that the shoe is on the other foot now.

Rodgers wants to be nothing like Favre though. As far from him as possible. So I'd imagine he'll at least fake it with this kid because he doesn't want Packer fans to compare him to Favre.
