I would have thought the Red Sox had enough BP and OFers, but with Swihart and Smith hurt along with Koji struggling I guess they could be looking for help there.

As is the case with Kemp, SD would have to eat some of Melvin's contract. Neither are gonna bring a lot back in return, but something is better than nothing.

If they can't get at least one decent prospect, I'd keep him. Next to nothing back and eating almost all of the money doesn't do anything.

Melvin is harder. But for kemp you should be at least able to do a Shields like deal.

CLE could really use even a guy like Upton, but they've got like 20 mil in dead money from Bourn, Swisher and Johnson.

Yeah, that's expected. But if he can get 1 or 2 decent prospects in return it's probably worth it.

One of the best offenses in baseball, a great #1 and a great closer. The rest of their pitching has question marks, but with that offense they definitely have a chance to win their division and more imo.
