Why cant OU/Texas just have their rivalry with each other out of coneference? like FSU/UF? I just think it make Oklahoma look silly to say they are a packaged deal with Texas, yet OU says they hate Texas with a passion.

The problem here is that the B1G wants schools that are AAU. Out of the Big 12; A&M, Texas, Kansas, Iowa State, and Missouri are the only ones that are AAU.

They could but the game has taken on a bigger meaning since it became a conference game. I think both teams like that aspect of it.

I loved our 10 team conference but since they already fucked that up having those four schools would be incredible. Would love to get to play those guys on a regular basis.

The BCS needs to catch up and allow 3 teams from Super Conferences in BCS games.

It's intriguing, I'm just not sure I'd like it from a scheduling perspective. You figure you'd have 2 8-team divisions and even if they continue with a 9 game conference schedule, a team would only be seeing the opposing division teams once every 4 years if they rotate yearly.
