The joking side of me thinks if he's taking PEDs, he ain't doing it right because his performance hasn't been enhanced, lol. But the serious side is if a Dr. prescribes a medication to a player, the player knows the league's policy (or should). Contact the league and find out if it's okay to take it. Of course, these guys aren't very intelligent, it seems.
At any rate, Vegas was likely going to be trying to get another QB anyway. Jimmy was never much but was serviceable and is pretty much worthless at this point.

I could see NE going after him? That would allow them to trade #3 and get a huge cache of picks. Move back a few spots and take the best OL or WR with that pick. Possibly double dip on the same position with their 2nd pick? Deep class at WR & OL. Can get some good value.

He'd be a bridge and the only thing that scares me is there is no real top QB prospects in the 25 draft.

Shedeur Sanders, Quinn Ewers and Jalen Milroe will be in the mix from this year's class that stayed in school. Add in Allar, Weigman, Beck, etc into that mix. No "generational" prospect like Caleb, but guys will emerge as usual.

As noted, a lot of players take PEDs to recover from injuries faster, not to improve performance. HGH is especially known to aid in recovery from things like ACL tears.

Almost guaranteed this is the case with Jimmy. What performance was he enhancing? He hasn't started since October.

Maybe he was mainlining viagra for his gigolo side action.

There is a link between HGH and Dementia in kids, I wonder if they will find soon find a link between HGH and dementia in athletes?
Maybe a catalyst for CTE?

The most intelligent use of steroids is to aide recovery from injury.

It should be an acceptable use, but the league isn't medically or scientifically smart enough to properly use the Healthcare industry to benefit their players.
The players would find a way to abuse it.
That being said, i think all professional sports leagues should stop testing for any substance. The players are adults, if they OD, it's on them.

The steroid he was taking is actually approved by the NFL he just failed to do the protocol and inform the NFL. He did the Raiders a favor . They were going to cut him anyway and owed him like 14 or 11 million. Now they can use the suspension to not pay the money owed.
