Or he isn't hurt and just stinks late in the season each year? Not sure how an injury gets you to chase pitches a foot outside and in the dirt. Hope I am wrong.
I think he is hurt - Servais said he was getting a couple of days off because his wrist had been flaring up - and his inability to make contact like he normally does due to the injury has him frustrated and chasing pitches.

Whenever he has been fully healthy, he has been the best hitter on this team. Normally he doesn't do shit like that.

He looks disinterested. Maybe it's how he normally is, but it doesn't look like he's having fun nor really one of the guys. Homesick? Just not a fit? Doesn't get along with management? Something just looks off.
Perhaps, honestly your guess is as good as mine.

Idk if this is a hot take but here it goes:

I actually think George Kirby has the best stuff in this rotation. I think right now you could make a compelling argument that the Mariners will have the best rotation in MLB going into 2022 as Kirby and Gilbert continue to get better.

His stuff is fantastic, but he also has great control of it, which is not typical for a pitcher as young as him. That's what already makes him so effective. Even Gilbert still struggles with consistency from time to time, Kirby almost never does. It's weird seeing the Mariners touted future starters get called up and actually do well. I'm still hoping to see Brash moved back into a starting role next year.

Exactly why I find him so impressive. I recall watching his first start and Kirby really does have ice in his vains.

Ya I but when he came out of that slump for a few days there was no injury talk. Injury talk always comes up when he is slumping. Makes me wonder but that is what I do. LOL.

I remember posting a few months back that he looked as if he didn't want to be here. Said the same for Frazier and neither has convinced me otherwise though Frazier has smiled more the last couple months.

I think he has the best 12-6 curve ball for sure on the entire staff

0-4 today. 1 strikeout looking, one weak infield popout, and 2 weak foul popouts.

You get one guess who that is....
